TRENDS Research and Advisory and the Emirates Red Crescent Authority reviewed ways of cooperation and partnership between the two sides in the field of humanitarian research. The two sides discussed mutual objectives, exchange of knowledge and the establishment of joint programs which raises public awareness and spread a culture of humanitarian work.
The discussion was held at the headquarters of the UAE’s Red Crescent Authority in Abu Dhabi. Dr. Mohammed Abdullah Al-Ali, CEO of TRENDS Research and Advisory and Hamoud Abdullah Al Junaibi, ERC Secretary-General, presided the meeting which was attended by a number of officials from both sides.
Both sides presented an overview of the nature of their work and areas of cooperation and partnership. Hamoud Al-Junaibi praised the Trends global Research and said that the ERC welcomes cooperation with the Center in the areas of forward-looking research, training, opinion polls and other fields, which enhance the ERC’s efforts in this regard.
Al Junaibi stressed that the cooperation between the ERC Authority and TRENDS Center will open wider horizons for cooperation and coordination. It would serve the communities which benefit from the activities and assistance programs of the Emirates Red Crescent. Such effort reflects the values and principles that the wise UAE leadership seeks to consolidate in the fields of humanitarian work. It shows the concerted efforts for a better future and a decent life for people in need of help and provide vital assistance for those suffering the brunt of adverse circumstances.
Dr. Al-Ali stressed the importance of humanitarian work in achieving stability and security for societies and peoples in general. He said that the UAE has adopted an inspirational humanitarian approach since its inception. In fact, the UAE has set a model to be followed by all countries in providing humanitarian assistance to all countries and communities around the world. Dr. Al-Ali explained that upholding the values of human fraternity and solidarity, providing support and relief to the needy is essential for progress. This promotes global security and stability.
Dr. Al-Ali indicated that TRENDS Research and Advisory has given great prominence to the humanitarian field since its early establishment. TRENDS has dedicated studies, research and training programs for promoting humanitarian work. He said that the Center is ready to cooperate with the Red Crescent Authority, in order to achieve their objectives and meet the strategy and vision of TRENDS visionary research. He also stressed on the importance of scientific research in promoting all types of humanitarian work.
