Syrian participation in the sweets and chocolate industry exhibition in Dubai

With Syrian participation for the first time, the activities of the sweets and chocolate industry exhibition, which is being held in Dubai, kicked off In the United Arab Emirates, it lasts two days.

On the sidelines of the opening of the exhibition, the head of the Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry, Ghazwan Al-Masry, explained in a press statement that the Syrian participation in this exhibition was the result of cooperation with the Authority for Support and Development of Local Production and Exports, stressing the importance of the Syrian presence in these international exhibitions, which are one of the most important marketing platforms for the Syrian food product. Among the most important Arab and international companies, and the possibility of concluding contracts with importers from all over the world.

In the same context, Vice President of the Damascus and its Countryside Chamber of Industry and Head of the Food Sector, Talal Qalaji, pointed out the importance of this participation, which is the first of a specialized nature in the field of the sweets and chocolate industry, stressing the Chamber’s keenness on the necessity of the presence of the Syrian food industries in all international exhibitions and coordination during the coming period. To participate in the food industries exhibition “SIAL”, which will be held in Abu Dhabi at the end of this month.

For its part, the Authority for Support and Development of Local Production and Exports organizing Syrian participation stated in a statement that participation in this exhibition is with a pavilion of 52 square metres, in which 4 leading Syrian companies in the field of sweets and chocolate industry are displayed with the aim of promoting these products due to their export importance and competitiveness in foreign markets. .

The Syrian Consul General in the Emirate of Dubai and the Northern Emirates of the United Arab Emirates, Dr. Ziad Zahreddine, member of the Chamber’s Board of Directors and Vice President of the Food Sector, Walid Houria, and a number of Syrian businessmen and members of the Syrian community in the Emirates participated in the opening of the exhibition and the Syrian pavilion.

The exhibition includes about 350 food companies specialized in the manufacture of chocolate, sweets and wafers from 30 Arab and foreign countries.
