The Belarusian Ministry of Energy denied reports by some websites that interpreted work schedules at the Belarusian nuclear power plant as widespread defects.

“Behind the many figures lies the usual workflow,” the Energy Department said. “The schedules show the daily, weekly tasks of the contractors involved in the project. This is done for detailed monitoring of the timing and quality of work.”

She pointed out that “the project is huge, and requires increased attention to every stage of work, and every little thing.”

And she continued: “If someone fails to complete the tasks within the allotted time or does the work of insufficient quality, the information is entered in the tables. In general, this does not apply to major works, but to secondary works that do not affect the main functions, structures and systems of the station.” .

And she stressed that “there is no talk of defects in this case.”
