Erdogan’s senior advisor meets members of the US House of Representatives

Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan’s senior adviser, Ambassador Akif Chagatay Kilic, met Thursday with members of the US House of Representatives in the capital, Ankara.

Kilic said in a post on the “X” website (formerly Twitter), that he met members of the US House of Representatives, Joe Wilson, Dean Phillips and Victoria Spartz, in the Turkish presidential compound.

He pointed out that the meeting dealt with regional and global issues, as well as the relations between Turkey and the United States.

The senior advisor to the Turkish president expressed his thanks to the American representatives for the “fruitful” visit.

Agencies reported that deputies in both the Turkish Parliament and the US House of Representatives discussed Thursday in the capital, Ankara, bilateral relations between the two countries and regional issues.

The agencies said that the Turkish and American sides discussed during the luncheon bilateral relations and the importance of the talks between the parliaments of the two countries.

They also discussed combating the “PKK” and “Gulen” organizations, trade relations, security files, defense industries, NATO, and regional issues.
