Greek police have arrested a man who was holding migrants in a trailer and called on citizens via social media to “go out and arrest” migrants in Greece.
The arrest came after a huge uproar after he posted a video clip on social media, showing his arrest of immigrants and stacking them in a closed trailer pulled by his car, where they are at risk of suffocation.
And the voice of the same man was heard in the video saying, “I loaded 25 pieces into the trailer,” referring to the immigrants he “arrested,” and he asked another person to open its doors, so two immigrant men appeared crammed inside the trailer.
The Greek newspaper IN mentioned the fear of this phenomenon, describing it as “very dangerous”, as it indicates a deep social and political crisis, during which citizens decided to dispense with the role of the state and “implement the law in their own hands.”
