Israel: Cohen Meets British Counterpart in Jerusalem

Follow-ups

Israeli Foreign Minister met with his British counterpart James Cleverly, who is visiting the Israeli capital, Jerusalem.

Cohen thanked Cleverly for Britain’s commitment to joining efforts aimed at supporting peace and the Abraham Accords.

Foreign Minister Eli Cohen stated, “The relations between Israel and the United Kingdom are at their best now. We agree on many issues and are working together to enhance joint economic and technological projects.”

He added, “After three years of signing the Abraham Accords, we are working with our friends worldwide to expand the circle of peace and normalization with Israel. On the other hand, Britain and Israel are politically aligned on the importance of stopping Iran’s nuclear program and the terrorist activities supported by Iran across the Middle East and the world. Britain is Israel’s largest trading partner in Europe and has requested from my friend, Foreign Minister Cleverly, to work on enhancing the free trade agreement between our two countries, which will positively impact trade for both Israel and Britain.”
