The General Secretariat of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation submitted written statements to the International Court of Justice regarding the legal consequences arising from Israel’s policies and practices in the Occupied Palestinian Territory, including East Jerusalem, following the mandate of the General Assembly of this court to provide an advisory opinion in this regard.

In these statements, the organization indicated in particular that Israeli policies and practices in the occupied Palestinian territories represent gross violations of human rights guaranteed by international law, stressing that the Israeli colonial occupation of Palestinian land is illegal and violates international law and relevant United Nations resolutions, and must stop immediately.

In this document, the organization reaffirmed its absolute and unwavering support for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people, including their right to self-determination, return, and the embodiment of the establishment of their independent state on the 1967 borders, with Jerusalem as its capital.
