Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov announced that Russia will continue to strengthen friendly relations with North Korea.
Peskov said: “The Republic of North Korea is our neighbor. Of course, as with any neighboring country, we consider ourselves obligated to establish good and mutually beneficial relations, which is what we are doing, and what President Putin is constantly doing.”
He referred to the North Korean leader’s previous visit to Russia, several years ago, when Kim Jong Un met with Putin in the city of Vladivostok.
He added: “We will continue to strengthen our friendship.”
The Kremlin announced an imminent visit by the North Korean leader to Russia in the coming days at the invitation of the Russian President.
