The Kremlin warns against implementing the grain deal without Russian participation

The Kremlin warned against trying to continue implementing the grain deal without Russian participation, indicating that this involves risks, since the grain corridor borders the combat zone and Kiev uses it for military purposes.

This came in a statement made by Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov to reporters today, Tuesday, commenting on reports that Kiev is going to Turkey with a proposal to continue exporting grain from Ukraine despite Moscow’s withdrawal from the grain deal.

Peskov said that this issue “needs comment” from the Russian army, because the talk is about an area directly adjacent to the combat zone.

He continued: “Without appropriate security guarantees, there are certain risks, so if they try to take some steps without Russia, these risks must be taken into account, and here it is difficult to determine what countries are ready to face these dangers and to what extent.”
