Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning said that Foreign Minister Wang Yi’s visit to Russia comes as a continuation of strengthening bilateral relations and exchanging views on security issues.
She added, “Wang Yi’s visit is a planned event within the framework of the Russian-Chinese strategic security consultation mechanism, and serves the important consensus reached by the presidents of the two countries, and comes as a continuation of the strengthening of bilateral relations.”
She stressed that the visit comes within the framework of exchanging views on important issues related to the strategic security interests of the two countries.
