The media coordinator for the national team, Muhammad Imad, said in a statement to Al-Sabah newspaper, followed by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), that “the team delegation that will leave the capital, Baghdad, this afternoon includes local players and the technical and administrative staff,” indicating that “professional players outside the country will join the team successively. ”
Imad added, “The technical staff led by Spaniard Jesus Casas will focus during training on selecting the most prepared players, as well as giving the opportunity to the two players who will be present for the first time with the national team, namely Danilo Al-Saeed and Ahmed Ali, to closely examine their technical levels. ”
It is hoped that our national team will play its first match in the tournament against its Qatari counterpart on the thirteenth of this month, while Jordan will meet its Iranian counterpart. The winners of the two matches will meet to determine the first and second places on the sixteenth, while the two losers will play to determine the third and fourth places .
