Al-Nassr Saudi Club announced on the social media platform Twitter the completion of the contract with Portuguese coach Luis Castro and the commencement of his work as the coach of the first football team at the club. The contract is set to extend until 2025.
The new coach arrived in the Portuguese city of Algarve, where Al-Nassr is conducting its pre-season training camp for the upcoming season, to begin his duties as the head of the team’s technical staff.
Last week, Botafogo, the Brazilian club, announced that Castro would be leaving their team to coach Al-Nassr, which includes the veteran star Cristiano Ronaldo.
Castro has previously coached clubs such as Porto in Portugal, Shakhtar Donetsk in Ukraine, and Al-Duhail in Qatar before taking charge of Botafogo in 2022.
