The Egyptian National Media Authority:

A new medical study published warned of the danger of excessive sugar intake and its negative impact on the health of the intestines and colon.

the “Study Finds” website linked the health of the human intestine and colon and the amounts of sugar they eat per day, through the results published by a recent medical study.

And the study stated that consuming excess sugar may disrupt the cells that maintain the health of the colon, and cause inflammation of the intestine.

as it quoted Timothy Hand, professor of immunology at the American University of Pittsburgh in America.

that the outbreak of inflammatory bowel disease around the world is attributed to excessive sugar intake.

The new medical study indicated that there is a significant increase in the prevalence of inflammatory bowel disease in countries.

with industrial and urban lifestyles, as a result of their citizens usually eating meals rich in sugar constantly.

And the American doctor, Timothy Hand, explained that excessive sugar intake is not beneficial or good for humans for more.

than one reason, because it is harmful to the health of the intestine and colon, especially when they eat sweets and soda.

In his new study, Timothy Hand called for eating sugar in moderation and not excessively eating it, with the need to follow a moderate or standard diet in order not to develop colon or bowel diseases.

A recent study published last April revealed that high sugar consumption is associated with risks leading to more than 45 negative health outcomes.

The study, conducted by scientists from China and the United States, made recommendations to limit consumption of “free” or added sugar to less than 10% of a person’s daily calories.
