scientists are developing a program that trains artificial intelligence to detect fake videos

Russian scientists from Don State University have developed a program that trains artificial intelligence to detect “fake videos,” which helps in finding fake content on the Internet.

Alexander Gurov, a professor at Don State University and one of the innovators of the technology, said: At present, a fake video can be easily created with the help of artificial intelligence. Meanwhile, neural networks are becoming smarter every day. It is now difficult to distinguish between what is real and what is fake.

This technique focuses on the faces in the frame. The algorithm can recognize signs of external appearance using neural networks.

According to Russian scientists, the program will also be able to detect discrepancies between speech and facial expressions. It also takes into account “extra pixels” (the smallest elements) in the image and further analyzes each frame in the video recording.
