The Tower of David Museum in Jerusalem recently opened its doors to visitors after a 6-year restoration process that cost $50 million. It is located in one of Jerusalem’s most famous landmarks near the Hebron Gate .

This tower was built about a thousand years ago on the ruins of a civilization dating back 2,500 years .

Museum director Yoav Cohen says that the exhibition relies on digital scenes of the history of the Holy City, in which a short animated film about the history of the city and the Western Wall, which is one of the holiest sites for Jews, is shown .

A three-dimensional map of the city of Jerusalem during the different historical eras is also displayed in the museum. This map was designed with the technology of the US Space Agency .

Then the visitor passes through rooms that contain videos, some of which are displayed on the ceiling of the museum, and reflect the lifestyles of life in the city during the different periods .
